Resolve like Paul: "...forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:13-14)
Resolve like David: "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth." (Psalm 121:1-2)
Resolve like Abraham: "...command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment..." (Genesis 18:19)
Resolve like Moses: "Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season." (Hebrews 11:25)
Resolve like Joseph: I will turn my back on all destructive advances. (Genesis 39:1-13)
Resolve like Job: I will be patient under all circumstances. (Book of Job)
Resolve like Daniel: I will commune with God at all times. "He kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime." (Daniel 6:10)
Resolve like Andrew: I will strive to lead my brother to a closer walk with Jesus. (John 1:40-43)
Resolve like John: I will lean upon the bosom of the Master. (John 13:23)
Resolve like Stephen: I will manifest a forgiving spirit toward all who seek my hurt. Stephen said, "Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep." (Acts 7:59-60)
Resolve like Timothy: "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (II Timothy 2:15)
Resolve like Jesus: I will overcome all earthly allurements by refusing to succumb to their enticements. (Matthew 4:1-11)
Resolve to become a child of God.
