Strange voices are speaking within the midst of the flock of God. They are saying strange things, such as:

bullet

Baptism is not essential to salvation.
But Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38 and I Peter 3:21
say it is.

bullet

Instrumental music is acceptable to God.
But Ephesians 5:19 and Revelation 22:18-19
say its not.

bullet

Women may take positions of authority and leadership in the worship services.
But I Timothy 2:9-15
forbids it.

bullet

Dramatic performances should replace the preaching of the gospel.
I Corinthians 1:21, II Timothy 4:1-4 and Romans 1:16
demands preaching, not plays and performances.

bullet

There are sincere, knowledgeable, devout Christians scattered among all the denominations.
But Matthew 15:13 says
they will all be rooted up by the Lord come judgment day.

bullet

The churches of Christ do not comprise the one, true church.
But Matthew 16:18
says otherwise.

bullet

Book, chapter, and verse preaching is old fashioned and out-of-style.
But I Peter 4:11
demands we speak the oracles of God.

bullet

Direct, miraculous leadings and miracles of the Holy Spirit are needed in addition to the word of God.
But Acts 20:32, I Timothy 3:16-17 and II Peter 1:3
tell us the word of God is sufficient.

bullet

Grace saves apart from any and all law.
But Romans 8:1-2 and James 1:25
demand obedience to the law of Christ.

bullet

Matthew 19:9 does not apply to the non-Christian.
But Matthew 19:1-9 uses the words
"whosoever" and "whoso" making it apply to all men.

Sadly, many individuals are giving heed to the voice of strangers. Thousands upon thousands flock to hear these voices that run contrary to the voice of the good Shepherd.

These individuals need to hear the teaching of Jesus found in John 10:4-5, "And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers."  Sheep know their shepherd. They will only follow his voice. When strangers enter in among them, they do not give heed to them. They do not snuggle in their breasts. They do not cuddle in their arms. Oh no! Instead, they "flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers."

This admonition needs to be heeded
by all the sheep within the Lord’s flock.

The voices of strangers are calling. They sound loudly and with great boldness. Many sheep run to them. They assemble at their workshops and Jubilees. Sheep of the Lord’s fold, however, will flee from them. They hear only the voice of the true Shepherd of the sheep. "And the sheep follow him: for they know his voice."
